Does anyone go to the cinema anymore in London? Yes, definitely, especially my favourite London cinema at the moment, while mourning the loss of Curzon Victoria, a loss we can never recover from as Londoners. The cinema that comes to the rescue in those times of culture depravation is Everyman cinema in Chelsea. It is located on King's Rd, of course and it probably the cutest cinema in town, with lovely decor and plush seating areas, bar with drinks and snacks and of course your own waitress serving directly to your seat. Perfect for a date or even solo cinema outing.
The best part about this cinema is the it also has screenings of other cultural delights such as opera or theatre and as a matter of fact it can be even better than attending theatre itself as the seating is more comfortable and you can pretty much sit anywhere and feel like you are right up there in the beast seats in the opera ot theatre itself. Without being significantly impoverished by the premium tickets. It books very quickly and it is a very tiny cinema but definitely worth it, highly recommended !
