Nobu Portman Square is the new Nobu hotel , restaurant and bar that has arrived to London Town and it is quite an experience! Spectacular entrance and decor as soon as you arrive! It has a very glamorous crowd so make sure you are dressed to impress if you wan to fit in.
As soon as you walk in there is a bar to your right , very glamorous and plush , perfect for a date or catching up with friends.
The restaurant is upstairs and it has a super fun atmosphere , wonderful ambiance and of course amazing food. The sushi and sashimi and all other dishes I have tried were super fresh and 'melting in the mouth'. Absolute delight, the dessert of green tea ice cream and chocolate cake is one of the best I have ever eaten.
How does the new Nobu at Portman Square compares to the other Nobu restaurants in London? It is definitely the best out of all of the in my opinion. Nobu has been a bit passé in London for the last few years, this one brings it back to business with a bang! Nobu at the Metropolitan hotel is a bit ... clinical, like visiting a hospital... the food is still amazing but it has no atmosphere whatsoever , it is great for families though but not really a hot spot. Nobu Mayfair is more of a fun place but recently has been completely overshadowed by Novikov and I really think Novikov has been pinching the Nobu clientele. Now it has a new competitor as Nobu Portman Square.
A fantastic new place in London for night out , or maybe starting the night with drinks and dinner and perhaps continuing somewhere else on the weekend. The place for the London gliteratti and glamorous crowd ! Absolutely love it. I will definitely be back very soon.
