Polo Lounge is a new pop up restaurant on the rooftop of the Dorchester hotel in London. We can all agree that London needs more rooftops, along with nice weather of course! This one is in a great location in Central London , on top a luxury five star hotel. That should reassure us it will be a lovely experience! And it certainly is.
Arriving for lunch , we were greeted and led to the table. Tables are covered with white umbrellas in case of rain or sunshine. It was a bit windy but it is to be expected on the rooftop. They had a singer as well who made our lunch even more fun. It is not your usual place for dining, that's for sure. Polo Lounge is a pop up , so in the future it will be turned into another venue , I guess they want to keep the diners on their toes and of course prepare for winter.
The food selection is tailored more towards the meat lovers but there are some lovely seafood options, I had the lobster risotto which was wonderful! Washed down with a couple of glasses of champagne. The portions seem to be really huge so it is best to ask the waitress to tell you more about your dish. The service is super nice and helpful of course.
A great place to have a catch up with friends, a lunch date or a dinner in the evening, I would love to come back again very soon before the autumnal weather starts. Definitely a place to enjoy the last days of summer in London. And let's not forget the amazing views of London and Hyde Park! Wonderful place!
