Black and gold obsession

I am not sure if I like wearing black that much but black and gold is my cup of tea! More glamorous and less boring. Here are my new black and gold purchases.

Kurt Geiger Anna Court suede shoes. here. Very comfortable suede shoes for long evenings out.

Michael Kors Mongolian fur collar coat with belt with golden metal detail. See it here. Very warm and glamorous with detachable fur collar. Love it!

Michael Kors winter boots with golden logo in the side. Best boots in the world. Similar here.

Classics- Michael Kors Hamilton tote

Having classic pieces in your wardrobe is very important and they are essential for every fashionista for everyday style and panache! One of the essential pieces is a day bag that matches most casual and slightly dressed up outfits.

Recently my everyday essential has been this Michael Kors brown Hamilton tote. It is perfect on many levels, matches most of winter outfits and I am really addicted to it. It's very large and you can even pack an evening outfit there-rolled up dress and light evening heels and an evening clutch bag/ wallet in case you need to be out and about from dawn till dusk. Surprisingly it gets a lot of looks and comments. It is quite glamorous with golden chain and hardware.  I am officially a Michael Kors addict.

You can buy it in Harrods, MK stores and even John Lewis. My preference in brown/tan but it comes in many different colours including black.

Another ones that caught my eyes are those aquamarine and diamonds earrings from Astley Clarke here

Vintage leopard print coat

I'm a proud owner of this vintage leopard print coat that I bought 10 years ago. As you know anything over 10 years old is vintage so I just realised that. Perhaps the designer become famous or has disappeared. Who knows. I was ahead of my time buying it then, strike of genius ;) Here it is in its full loud and proud glory.

I like to dress it down for day look with big scarf and boots but I secretly want to dress it up for the evening look with high heels and a nice dress. What do you think?

Out for lunch 2013- Jazz at Cadogan Hall

Over a week ago on Thursday I had great fun watching and listening to Dixie Ticklers at Cadogan Hall at Out for lunch 2013 admission free concert. I am huge fan of the band since then and even have a CD. :-) Dixie Ticklers are absolutely fantastic! I hope to see them perform again somewhere in London. They will be playing soon again in Hutch Club in Quaglino's Mayfair. They are playing there as I am writing this tonight but I can't be there. You can check their schedule here and listen to some of the music.

This Thursday lunchtime I will be missing out on Moscow Drug Club. Hopefully I can attend more other exciting concerts on Thursdays in Cadogan Hall. It is a great way of presenting new up coming bands , click  here to see what's on in Cadogan Hall.

The Chelsea Teapot

How to improve your mood immediately and feel true and pure happiness? Have a cupcake! :) I have tried and tested it and it works. Especially if you go to The Chelsea Teapot on the King's Road. It is conveniently located near the Triyoga so in case yoga doesn't lift your mood you can always try that.

Firstly - the presentation. The Chelsea Teapot is all about pastels and being cute. The decor is really lovely and colour coordinated with the cupcakes. I must say these are one of the best cupcakes I've ever eaten. So if you happen to be in the area and feel like tucking into some sugary loveliness, that's the place.

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons at Royal Albert Hall

I have been very lucky to be invited by a friend to see this amazing concert yesterday. The legendary Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. See at Royal Albert Hall website

Royal Albert Hall was packed and the concert started off with some classic slower songs and then a few new songs from Frankie Valli's new album. After the interval Frankie showed who the real superstar is! More of the classic songs followed with enormous energy that made everyone (me included) dance and sing and have an amazing time. I have never seen so many happy people in one place, it was the best concert I have ever been to (that incudes Rihanna and Lady Gaga, sorry!) The only thing I didn't like is it was too short, I wish it went on for much longer! But I guess over two hours would wear most people off. I went back home in a happy mood, with a sound of 'oh what a night!' tune still in my ears.

I tried to capture the mood of the concert by recording a few mini videos which you can see below.

Dinner at Hakkasan and champagne at Wellesley

Hakkasan Mayfair, a really fun place that I was delighted to visit recently. It is more like a cantine style dining albeit Michelin star. It is very buzzy and full of people having a great time. We had duck rolls..

baby squid

amazing silver cod

king crab

and mille feuille (someone was very impatient to eat it)... I am hoping to go back soon (hint hint!)

Afterwards a glass or two of champagne at the Wellesley in Knightsbridge, luckily they are open till late. And yes I love, love the art deco bar with crystals, pink hues and mirrors. I can drink champagne there every day. I promised to keep it a secret but saw it at another blog already so the secret is out :-/ We just have to live with it, it will be the worst kept secret of Knightsbridge.

Evening at the Corinthia - Bassoon Bar and Kai - Michellin star Chinese restaurant in London

Walking into Corinthina Hotel to start the evening at the Bassoon Bar was amazing and left me gawping at the amazing Baccarat chandelier in the lobby. (first three photos from the website).
Then a glass of champagne at the Bassoon Bar which I have discovered later has live music on certain day so I will be definitely coming back soon as I love live music, you can check it here and also watch a little video about the bar which is very interesting and encouragea me to try the famous cocktails next time.

It was a bit dark...

Yes I took a touristy snap of the chandelier, sue me ;-)

Next stop- Kai the Michelin star Chinese restaurant in London which in itself intrigued me very much and I was not disappointed. You can check the website here.

I illustrated my attention to detail...

And then focused on devouring wasabi prawns and soft shell crab.

Crispy duck rolls

And already with celebrity status, Lobster George. Amazing!!!

Coconut dessert and petit fours.

I am sure that made you hungry. :-)
