Krakow - Chimera restaurant and salad bar + exhibitions in June

One of my favourite places in Krakow especially in the summer is Chimera salad bar. Chimera.
They have a lovely outside space with lots of plants in a historical building just off the main Market Square, Anny Street. Huge choice of salads and small dishes from the hot counter is making it a vegetarian's paradise ;-) There is also a restaurant downstairs in the 14th century cellar.

Tarts and Potatoes. Sounds like a title of a a very naughty Victorian novel. ;-)

Yes I really ate all of this...

I also documented the famous Krakow pigeons at their favourite activity. Their second favourite activity is the reason why the authorities are considering banning them. Enjoy while you can ;-)

Shopaholic also spotted chocolate shoes at Chocolate Store at Slawkowska Street just off the Market Sq.

Another very exciting activity was visiting The Human Body exibition which you can see until the end of June. Photos are not allowed but it was really extraordinary experience. It is a temporary exhibition so maybe it will come to London one day if you miss it.

On a more artsy note, in Bunkier Sztuki you can see Borders of Fashion exhibition. It is very interesting and unfortunately they don't have descriptions online but it is all in English as well at the exhibition. It is not what you expect and it is more about the contexts and role of fashion in the West  contrasted with Poland in historical and cultural background. I regret not taking photos as I thought it is just another fashion exhibition but as I was exploring it it got more and more interesting. It is on until 16th June so if you are visiting Krakow around this time it's worth seeing it too.

And now the grand finale of this post- fireworks that I saw out of my window, just a fragment of a very very long show :-)

Archer Street Bar

If you are one of those people who have an itch to go out on a week day and have a little dance then you are onto a winner with this one. Archer Street Bar in Soho is lots of fun on any day of the week, weekends in particular but it is happening also on other days which can be unusual in other places. Great cocktails and music and on top of that live performance by the waiters/ singers, which is the best part for me. see the website

Casa Brindisa - Spanish restaurant in South Kensington

Casa Brindisa is a Spanish tapas restaurant which is short walk from South Kensington tube station. It has the atmosphere of a typical Spanish restaurant and of course the food is delicious. My favourite - polpo, octopus and of course all kinds of jamon and cured meats. The menu is full of things I want to try, so I have to come back a few more times, looking forward.

La Dolce Domenica at Bulgari Hotel

La Dolce Domenica- indulgent Italian style brunch at the Bulgari hotel in London on Sundays, check the website for availability here - Bulgari hotel.

As usual Bulgari is never disappointing with great service and food and on this occasion excellent cocktails. Open buffet style brunch with hot dishes and pastries and of course desserts.
'Fancy girl' and 'Concealed weapon' cocktails. 'Fancy girl' is probably the best cocktail I ever had. :-) Lots of nibbles and mini dishes to choose from.

This brunch was in 'Great Gatsby' style, with great music and a screening of the film after brunch if you choose so.

Eggs for brunch or late breakfast in my case.

And the best part... There is much more but a girl can only eat a limited amount of macaroons!

Someone had to do it ...

Great fun and great service at one of my favourite places in London.

PS My drink was actually called Fancy Gin, but for some reason I decided to call it Fancy Girl, I think they should change the name! ;-)

Michael Kors golden shoes

I'm so happy with my new Michael Kors shoes, York metallic leather pumps. My first golden shoes. I might take them out for a walk tonight along with my new Zarita dress from Diane von Furstenberg that I wrote about before. :) Part of my big shopping spree at Outnet.
