Harrods is one of the most beautiful and glamorous department stores in London or even in the world , I dare say , and it has the most glamorous clientele- for that reason I suggest you do dress up at least a little bit when you are visiting it.
Smart casual is a great way to dress there and even dressing up much more is better. It is after all a Mecca of fashion for Londoners and all fashionistas across the world. It is also the time to wear your designer bags, shoes and other things that you want to show off as they will be greatly appreciated by other visiting fashionistas with a knowing glimpse in the eye and a twinkle even if you are wearing something particularly enviable! Harrods and Knightsbridge has been known for the highest concentration of Chanel bags in London per square mile and that does not include the stock. If you've got it, flaunt it, that's the Harrods spirit!
If you are dressed down or even sloppy, will you have a bad experience? Absolutely not, Harrods welcomes everyone and the staff is always super helpful and amazing. But why not dressing up a little to enjoy Harrods even more, this is my opinion , it enhances the glamour and makes us more happy. Looking good always makes us feel good!
