Have you ever tried to meet someone online just to find out they are not real ? There is a huge rise in online scams in the recent years and websites and apps are also contributing to it. Here are some most popular ones:
for men;
1. Beautiful photos but she just want to chat online and never meet? and then sends you a link to her OF account? Yes many harvest the social platforms just to get new subscribers to their p**n site. Or maybe it is just a a guy who has actually harvested videos and photos from real girls and now its trying to scam men with them
2. Beautiful photos but she is in another country and need a visa to visit? this might be a real person who is hoping to move to another country but realistically who will go through all of that if there are plenty of women everywhere, most likely also it is a scam
3. Website or app is making the members pay a monthly or weekly fee to talk to women- this is a common practice and most likely even gif you pay you might still end up chatting to chat bots and not real girls as they keep you hooked on the app to make sure you keep paying the fees, they don't want you to actually find someone as they would lose money.
4. Flat out scam- talking and texting for a while just to proceed to ask for money using all kings or sob stories, tricks etc, most likely it is a guy on the other side who is a part of a a scamming gang. There are lots of documentaries about it now on Youtube and on tv.
For women;
1. they ask for lots of photos and even videos and maybe even video calls claiming to be be visiting your location soon - just to vanish into thin air after you complete all his hard work, what just happened? - you have just unknowingly supplied a scammer with lots of great photos and videos just to he can now scam men for money using your photos- this is more coming than you think, they can also harvest your social media for it, lots of lovely photos for free.
2. websites and apps and now also trying to make women pay as the men catching onto this vicious circle, they have lots of fake profiles with handsome men to keep you chatting all day and night but mysteriously those men never actually are able to meet, just to keep you engaged on the platform.
3. Classic scams- not as many women want to send over money but there are also other scams - investing in crypto currencies, helping wiith some mystery transaction etc. Be careful.
4. Married men pretending to be single- classic , no need to expose that one!
Both:
1. Harvesting your data - name, age, location, address ,photos, videos and many other data points are very useful information can can be sold on or used for other scams. Never tell all your private info to strangers online.
2. Chatting and keeping you single forever to make money off your data and cookies. There are lots of documentaries exposing this in great detail, just search on youtube.
3. Fake profile information and old photos- the people are real but they have put on so many filters on the photos and lied about their age , height, weight, job, literally everything just to make themselves look better so when you meet them it is almost a completely different person. People do this to compete with the perceived competition of the other profiles that are actually fake and curated, they thing nobody will like them with the real photo , which is true to Ann extent , before they realise that those perfect profiles are just fake.
I am sure there are many more other scams , just do your research or wacht documentaries online to be safe and unbothered online.
